if you want anything that will look someaht descent go and have it fixed professionally. All those touch-up paint stuff will only make it look worse.

I went to about three BMW body repair shop they estimate about $675 to get it fix. I'm so freaking mad. I also check out some other body shop and they all want over $600 to fix it. They have to repaint the whole door to match. One of my friend know this guy, he said there is another way to get it fix without repaint the whole thing. He said he probably use touchup pack from BMW and the wet sand it then polish it...what do you guy think? will it work??

Whoever did scratch people car need to go to hell. If I ever see anyone doing it. I'll kill them personally I swear. I got mine for only two months. bunch of hater out there man.

I will keep you guys posted. I will try get before and after pic if I get it fix for cheap.

Know how you are feeling. Had the whole right side of my '96 328i keyed, from headlights to rear taillights. [bigcry]
I thought the term "keyed" was when someone breaks/removes the lock on the door. How can the be possible from headlights to tailights? [???1]

Maybe I am not understanding this. You have spent over $35,000.00 on a 2003 330Ci and you wont spend $675.00 to have the door professionally fixed? As a previous post stated, touch up paint will not help a horrible scratch like that.

The dictionary of automotive terms defines 'key' as:

"key:
[1] A parallel-sided piece inserted into a groove cut part way into each of two parts, which prevents slippage between the two parts and they rotate together. Used to secure gears, pulleys, cranks, handles, etc.
[2] A metal instrument for turning locks and key-operated switches.
[3] An L-shaped tool for turning recessed screws (e.g., Allen key).
[4] A roughened surface which provides a basis for subsequent layers of paint or filler.
[5] To adhere to a lower layer.
[6] The act of a vandal who scratches the finish of a car with his key or other sharp instrument."

Number 6 is applicable in this situation.

I'm so sorry to hear that happended to you too. Man, I have couple estimate from couple place. the most expensive place obviously is the BMW dealership ($700). they said they have to paint the whole door and match the side. My scratch pretty deep and about 9" long, but I also have this guy work for Huffine dealership bodyshop will do it for $140. He work on the side and he doesn't have to purchase any paint or anything. he just charge me for labor. I'm sure he do fine too since he work for dealership bodyshop and he will give me lifetime warranty. I guess as long as he still work there then he will hook me up. He said he doesn't have to paint the whole side cause it's so new and it's not hard to match and after he fixed it. He sure I can't even tell the difference.

I hope you don't cost you much to at it fix.

I'm sorry to hear that I know exactly how you feel. Those people that key people car need to go to hell man. gosshhhhh. Let us know how much cost you to fix

I try not go through insurance cause didn't want the monthly payment go up, cause my sister also on my policy.

so whenever insurance pay anything they raise premium.
