Everyone affected by the slipping transmission issue please take the time to contact BMWNA today at 800.831-1117 and ask:

When did BMW become aware of the slipping transmissions?
When was the problem corrected?

Short sweet and to the point. [burnout]

I second your notion. [thumb] I will post my results to this thread after calling.

Good Luck. I can tell you right now what they're gonna say. "What transmission problem?" and whether they do admit to it or not, they will say "Call your dealer". Don't understand what your objective is here.

Placed my phone call today and asked BMWNA when they became aware of the defective transmissions. The response from the representative was "This is the first I have heard of it"
Asking when the problem was corrected based on response to first question was fruitless. Rep suggested I contact my dealership and to insist on speaking with the service manager. I did so. This was mid morning and I am still awaiting a return call.
