Speedo is electronic so it is an electrical problem somewhere, a sensor, a wire a bad solder joint, something. Or the speedometer is bad. There's no speedometer cable just a sensor that picks up the output of the differential, if I'm not mistaken. That makes it a simple linear relationship to speed that is easy to display. Those links should give you a good idea of where to start.

Good luck.

Hmm,

99.9 speedometer issues are the connector at the aft face of the differential.

A bad place to put a connector.

A little wd40 and pencil eraser then us a little petroleum base grease on the covering boot to seal it.

After doing my research on the issue last night I went and looked at my diff to see if I had an LSD (I don't). I did see the connector for the speedometer but there was no boot over it. Just an electrical plug on the back of the diff.
