sport package stuff

what specifically does the sport package add to the 325i as far as mechanics go? i know upgraded suspension but what does that mean ... to what degree is it upgraded?

also does anyone know if the sport package rims weight any more than the basic 16's that come standard?

with the 2004 325ci you dont get any mechanical advantages with the sports package. All the Ci's (coupes) come with a sport suspension that the sedans do not come with (hence the higher pricing). All the sports package adds to the 325Ci are 17 inch rims, sports seats, and clear turn signals.

I'm pretty sure it's the same for the 2003. I wen ton edmunds to look up the sports package info and it doesnt list any thing other than what I metioned for the 2004s. I believe thew e46 coupes all come standard with sports suspension.

Coupe or Sedan? My 03 coupe w/ sport package just got the 17 inch wheels, sport seats (worth it alone), and clear corners. 03 coupes come stock w/ the sport suspension. I think the sedans get the sport suspension with the package. 04 was pretty much unchanged (cept style of the rims)

if it's sedan, then the main change is the suspension and 17 inch wheels. The other stuff is more cosmetic like clears, steering wheel, and seats.

I'll also add that along with the 17" wheels, you get wider and much lower profile tires, which definitely play an important role in the feel and handling of the car.

Anyone have pictures of their 04 coupe with the sports package. Want to see the 119 style rim in real life.
