I just picked up my 2004 325i with sport and premium package

Call me stupid.....Prem package list 8 way and the sport package says the seats move 12 way........How can I tell if I have the sport package sport seats? Seriouly, I dont have the lumbar support dial - should I have?

The seats are okay but it seems I have viewed pictures where the seats seem more comfortable and larger.

Thanks and no wise comments

Sports seats are easy to tell. They look different. They have side bolsters and thigh bolsters. Plus, they have a thigh extension part around where your knees are. Click on my sig. I have a picture of my sports seats in it.

If you have Prem and Sports, your sports seats will be power sports seats. I think it's missing 2 directions it can move but I can't remember what it is. No big deal.

I believe the "missing" 4 ways in a 325 that are only available in a 330 are the power lumbar (up,down,in,out). That makes them 8-way power.

Power seat movement list:
1. seat cushion front up
2. seat cushion front down
3. seat cushion rear up
4. seat cushion rear down
5. seat forward
6. seat backward
7. seat back tilt forward
8. seat back tilt backward
9. lumbar in *
10. lumbar out *
11. lumbar up *
12. lumbar down *

* only available in 330 w/sport.

Also, manual movement list:
1. headrest tilt forward
2. headrest tilt backward
3. headrest up
4. headrest down
5. thigh support out *
6. thigh support in *

* sport package only

Did I miss any or make a mistake?

Looks good BMWROCKS. You just omitted one feature for the 330Ci convertible crowd -- we've got power headrest up/down movement via the seatback control. Headrests also automatically retract when the passenger or driver seat is tilted forward for rear passenger ingress / egress (to prevent the headrests from hitting the A-pillar and visors).

I do have the sport / prem 12 way sport seats. I just wondered why I dont have the lumber. I guess the 330 must have 16 way

How cool is that, to have power headrests??!! I am sooooo jealous.

Why do just the verts get them? Mine hit the visors (barely) even when at the lowest setting. Good thing I am short and don't need my headrests jacked up real high.....

What do you tall non-vert people (who have their headrests jacked up) do when you tilt the seat forward?

BTW, what is the A-pillar (looks away embarrased....)?

I want the front seats of the convert too. I'm not double jointed so it's a big pain to reach behind for the seatbelt all the time. Wish there was some accessory that would keep the belt within reach all the time. I don't need the back seat. No one ever sits in there. I just use it for more convenient storage than the trunk.
