Sports package, lowers ride?

After researching a possible new 325xi purchase, it seems the Sport Package doesn't lower the ride (provide new springs and shocks). Is this accurate?

It certainly makes sense, but I don't plan on driving through Antarctica, so I don't really require a 5 inch clearance between the wheel wells and my tires. If the Sport Package has nothing to do with suspension, then it's useless to me. Does anyone know if it lowers the car?

Thanks!

Don't know if its accurate but it makes sense. xi is AWD car, and that is meant for snow/mud where the clearance has to be higher, not lower.
BTW, I wasn't considering Red, but damn your car looks pretty sweet there! Thanks!

If you buy the sports suspension on the regular 325i, the suspension is lowered. However, the suspension is not lowered on the 325xi, even with the sports package. I believe the suspension is actually heightened with the xi. Thus, higher center of gravity=less handling prowess.
