Squeak from rear after shut off??

My new 325xi has some kind of a squeak from the rear after I cut the engine.

I will park the car, turn the key and get out. If I am near the back a couple of seconds later, I hear a squeak. Even if I don't lock it. I think it's something in the trunk, but I can't be sure. Anyone know?

That is the auto leveling. I hear it from my '04 325 CI as well. Nothing to be alarmed about.

What does autoleveling do?

autoleveling, it automatically levels the car out to a more secure position, basically it makes the angles less severe, kind of hard to explain, just know!
