I have a 2001, 330i with 52k. I have started hearing a squeeking when I am turning left at slow speeds. I really don't think it is the breaks because it does it when my foot is off the pedal, but that is the sound. Any ideas before I go to the dealer of what is maybe?

I would bet money (not much though [:)] ) that it is your front control arm bushings. They go anywhere between that mileage and after depending on how hard you drive the car. At 109,500 I'm on my third set, had them replaced two weeks ago.

Oh, and the bushings themselves are only like $100 a pair. The problem is the labor, cuz the front suspension has to be take off, then they normally recommend a new alignment. Good luck! It's a part that is made to wear so it will need to be done at some point, no doubt.

[thumb] Ladies and Gents, my Bimmer dude J&F Motors is charging me $440.00 to change out both front control arm bushings. The dealership wants $550.00 to do the same work. Currently all of my work ios done at J&F Motors in Arlington, VA. Happy Motoring [driving2]
