Could anyone give me a hint on what is causing this? how can it be fixed?

We just replaced the master cylinder because it had a leak.. $700!!! (Canadian)

brakes work great.. they kind of make a grinding sound once your almost stopped.

They squeek more and more all the time.. more so when they are hot. two different places checked the pads and rotors.. they all said they are fine

any help?

thanks

There are several different brands of spray or paste that can be applied to the back of the pads. Raybestos is one of the brands I've used. The spray or paste products are inexpensive but do require you to remove and reinstall the pads. Make sure you reinstall the pad from the caliper it came off to avoid making the problem worse. These work almost all the time but there are no guarantees. If the pads are severly glazed you can try some sandpaper on them to remove the glaze but results are mixed. If the glaze and squeal is due to improper break in or severe overheating you might have to do a brake pad changeout. Are both sides noisy or just one? Some pads use a piece of thin metal against the back of the pad to eliminate noise. If you have them on one side and not the other it can be asource of noise on just one side.
