Steering problem

I've been having a problem with my steering system lately. If I happen to spin my steerin wheel completely to either side, it kind of gets locked and refuses to spin back for a few seconds. it feels for up to 3 or 4 seconds like if the engine were off. Any ideas?? what should I be looking at repairing or changing. My warranty expires in september so I really need some in put. Thanks

That problem might be because the wheels are not balanced correctly go to active autowereke they can do any thing. There top of the line. You can find them in miami,fl 9940 sw 168 terrace. you can also call 305-233-9300. ask for Craig wong the top tech.

LOL... I think he's in Tokyo so Florida may be a bit out of the way.

I would examine the steering rack.

Yeah I'm in Tokyo, Just needed to know in anybody had experience the same type of situation with the steering. My car is a liitle over 2 years old now and it has 43k Kilo on it, up to a month a go it had a knocking sound on the steering The dealer change the entire steering gear but now after 3 weeks it started locking it up for a few seconds when is fully turned to either side. I wonder if my power steering is now braking down or if anyone up there can tell me what may be causing the problem thanks

If the dealer just replaced the steering system that work should still be covered and I would bring it back to them questioning their work.
