I recently had the front brake pads changed and the rotors machined on my 87 325. I put about 1200 interstate miles on it aftrerwards in about 2 days. Now when I am braking it a bit hard on speed the steering wheel begins to vibrate left and right [V] . When I brake slowly at low speed everything is OK, just the brakes squeeal (it might be normal though). Does anybody know what can be the cause??? [paranoid] [confused] [confused]

getting rotors turned isn't the way to go and new brembo oem rotors are cheap... go to www.eurowebpart.com then find a place around u that price matches if u don't wanna deal w/ shipping... luckilly Bavarian Autosport is less than an hour away from me, so i got about 400 bucks worth of stuff for 250 [:D] (all 4 rotors, thermostat, full set of brake pads, pad wear sensors, exhaust hanging hardware kit)

check it out - http://www.e30sport.net/viewtopic.php?t=3136&highlight=turned+rotors

Oreogaborio is right. BMW rotors are not designed to be turned. There is simply not enought meat on them. Replace them at each brake job if you use stock rotors. It is one thing on BMWs that are cheap. ATE is the original equipment manufacturer for most years. They are have grooved rotors which are excellent for the street at $40 each.
The Brembo ad in the Tire Rack catalog tells us NOT to use drilled rotors on the track. Slotted can be used on the track.

Just got Brembo stock rotors and had them changed for all 4 wheels, also the pads(also had both control arms changes). Now the vibration is gone, although I am not breaking very hard since the pads and rotors r new and need some time to rub up....
Thanks for advice guys...[wave]
