This continues to get more ridiculous by the day. Allowing BMWNA to deal with this problem on a "case by case basis" is in their best only. Companies such as BMW have a planned protocol to handle customer satisfaction and quality control. We must understand that a calculation was made. Loss to gain ratio was determined. BMWNA knowingly continued to deliver a defective product. It is not simply a case of "do not worry it is under warranty". The contract, understood by reasonable people, is for a vehicle to be delivered free of defect. The onus is on BMW to exercise "reasonable care" to ensure the contract is satisfied.
Suggestion is for letter to be drafted by steptronic-affected parties and signed by all concerned. (This will soon become a resale issue affecting all owners) Strength in numbers is the only way to ensure positive resolution.
