sunroof noise

Hey guys, when i open up my sunroof i hear a single click sound when the sunroof is about halfway open. It sounds like the roof is brushing against something. I haven't heard this noise before and i don't hear it when i close the roof. Should i be concerned about this and take it to the dealer? My warranty is about to run out and i don't want it breaking without a warranty.

If you're about to go out of warranty, I would definitely put it on a list of every little think you can think of. They'll probably lube the tracks, realign the glass and maybe give you a new felt strip.

I would also say you hear a slight squeak in the front control arm bushings (they go out every 40-50k+ so it would be good to get them to double check those out and have the set replaced under warranty). Have the alignment checked too while under warranty, they won't do it unless you say the car seems out of alignment. Have them check the roter thickness. You may have had pads replaced, but not roters, so if you're lucky they might agree some new roters are in order.

Those are the things I would want them to look at before you're on your own.

I was in for service about two weeks ago and noticed some fliers for extended warranty for both the 3/36 and the new 4/50. I think it said both would bring it to 6/100 for $995. You have to do this before your old warranty runs out!
