Sunroof problem

I need help. My sunroof is not functioning properly. I found out that the power retractor is not in place. It's not in between the 2 shade clips, instead it is behind the nearest clip going towards inside the car roof instead. Check out the second pic on the link below to show you how it is suppose to look like.

What I need is to know how to adjust the the power retractor so it will be inbetween the 2 clips.

One other thing (I'm not sure if this is related to my problem but I think it is), I think my sunroof isn't tilting too much. Is there something I can adjust to do that?

Thanks guys. I found something on e46fanatics that I need to adjust the glass when putting it back. I'll try it when I get home from work. But I still need to know how to fix my original problem on my first post.

Sunroof problems

Hi there,

When you have the sunroof glass off, press the sunroof button to tilt it up.
You should be able to see the retractor for the sunroof blind on the driver's side toward the rear of the opening.
You're going to need a T-10 for the sunroof blind tabs, undo the rear one and remove it.
Slide the retractor forward in between those two tabs, making sure to lube the sliding tabs, and the retractor, and re-install the blind tab.
Check the sun roof cassette's operation before re-installing the glass, because sometimes the retractor's tab that engages the blind's tabs "skips" over the blind's tabs. If that is the case, just bend the retractor tab down until it properly engages the other tabs.
Then re-install the glass, aligning one corner at a time until it's flush with the roof.

Hope this helps,
Tiger
