Its very hard to tell. depends on what else you've got done and how much extra you want out of the charger. looking at the japs (who seam to love their turbos) the cars don't last reliabily past 130k (with the odd well maintained exception) but our cars go on for 250k. I think personally that as long as your enjoying yourself when you throw a piston through the hood or get a spectacular explosion its worth it.

When you say japanese cars don't last reliably past 130k, are you speaking of turbocharged cars only?
Certainly, turbocharging adds complication and stress on the engine, but that is true regardless of whether the car hails from japan or germany.
Normally aspirated japanese cars last a very long time, and the turbocharged cars will last many more miles once the turbo issues have been taken care of.
