I recently did some suspension work on my 02 325i, and ran into some problems. I disconnected the ABS sensor on the driver's side (yea I know), and now I have a Brake and Abs light on. Also, I am getting a rather loud popping noise from the rear passenger wheel or somewhere around there. I can place the car in gear, and when the clutch is released to the tension point, the noise will occur. It does it in foward and reverse. I have not driven the car over 10 mph since this occured, and my nearest dealer is an hour away. I am thinking that perhaps the sensor is triggering the traction control, and this is what is causing the jerking. Does the light need to be reset to solve my problem, or should i start looking into some other areas.
