leased a 330i. The Honda (2006) with promotional rate fore this model was, approximately $400/month including fees. The BMW was about $540 (including fees) for a two year lease. Not a super easy choice given the price difference but the Honda was a rip-off given the differences in MSRP (IMHO) and vehicle.

Everything on the Beemer except rear seat room and possibly the A/C seem better on the 330i (and snow traction). [boxface] The Honda engine (244hp) was very good but a step behind the 330i. The handling easily went to the BMW --- although the Honda was not bad --- of course, some body roll. Incredibly the 330i had a better ride! The radio on the BMW sounded better after an admittedly short audition. Surprisingly, parts on the Beemer felt more expensive (I think highly of Honda). [thumb]

I'm turning in a 330i 2003. How do the two compare? The new 330i being just a bit better in most respects? Is it faster? [burnout]

thanks,

I had been, but then grew wiser...

The engines in the 325i (215hp) and Honda V6 (244hp) are close with, perhaps the edge, going to the Honda. The reliability edge (heck, Honda's are appliances) goes to Honda. As does the size factor.

Of course, the enthusiast/sport factor goes to BMW as well as the cachet.

I was looking a the Honda as a cheaper alternative to the 330i and, as a car offering more back seat room for my growing kids. After all, the engines don't seem that different.

It didn't make the cut. Yeah, the BMW is more sports car but the 2006 Honda is one fo the sportiest family cars around. less sport for more family, ability to drvie in the snow, and assumed saavings. Plus, the a/c in the my current BMW is not up to the task. (MY older 540i did have good a/c). So no, it's not so baffling.

Anyway, how does the 2006 330i compare to the 2003 330i for thoose in the know. TIA. [cheers]

best,
