three questions/problems

[Chakueem]

1) Driver's door squeaks when opening/closing the door. any suggestions on an oil/grease or whatever to fix this squeak?
2) Rear driver's side door moulding. where the rubber surrounding the door makes a flush fit with the moulding attached to the body of the car. (i will try to post pics of what i mean tomorrow). the moulding is loose. i have tried to fit the seemingly impossible white plastic pieces back together to make a good fit again and gave up. i am now holding the moulding in place with carefully positioned pieces of 2 sided tape.
3)I believe they are called bumper bellows (the grille below the bumper where air is allowed to flow into the brake area to help in cooling brakes). i am missing approx 1/4 of the plastic grille on the passenger side (again i will try to post pics). any ideas as to where i might buy this piece? i have looked in the back of the bav auto catalog and have come to the very uneducated conclusion that a bumper bellow has something to do with this.

The Window moulding problem is a common one. I had that problem on both sides 2x each in my previous 01' 325ci. My boss had that problem twice in his. The part was even on back order the first time I took in for repair. So common of an issue they had to put the part on back order??? It seem to happen to me whenever the weather went from one extreme to the other. Anyways...no problem with my 04' yet.

#2 - The loose moulding. I haven't seen the problem first hand, but would some heavy duty, sticky back fabric or plastc Velcro do the trick?

Use silicon to lube the door hinges.

#3 go to the great on-line part catalog...http://www.realoem.com/bmw/...then just order the part from the dealership, they are normally very competetive..expeically if you have BMWCCA membership for an extra 10-15% off.

alright

used industrial strength velcro strips (cut to size) to secure the door moulding. waiting until tomorrow to lube the door hinge. attached is a of the missing part. is it a bumper bellow?

hmmm...i called the bavarian autosport 1-800 number, described the missing part to a phone representative. he seemed to know the part i was talking about and told me it was a special order part that costed like $5 plus shipping. i ordered it and it should be delivered in 2 weeks or so. i guess we'll see then if the phone rep knew his stuff.
