Does anyone know if you can add the tilt side view mirrors after the car has been purchased?
I have a 2000 323i, don't have this option, but I would like to have it.

Yes, you can. It's not cheap though, if memory serves, it's around $850 for the parts, (you have to buy new side view mirrors).

I'll try to find the DIY later today.

I took delivery of an '04 325xi two weeks back, and it has the tilting passenger side mirror. Believe me, it's not worth spending any significant amount of money to add it. It's so easy to park the car anyway you don't need that gadget IMHO.

Frankly, BMW might want to focus on adding side window defoggers so you can see out of the side windows in rainy weather rather than tilting mirrors and headlights that bob up and down. Even a 10 year old Honda has side window defoggers. Does it not rain or snow in Germany?

My 04 330Ci has side window defoggers, so your 04 325xi should have them as well. And they work quite well for me.

snow- your car has side window defogger. It is on top right hand corner of the climate control. It defogs the windshield and the side windows.
