I live in Pennsylvania and I heard it's a hit or miss with them pulling you over for illegal tint. I have come to a conclusion that I don't care and I am going to get 15-20% all around. I am getting it done at a pretty reputeable place that has been in business for 15yrs.

Anyways, my next concern was would my tint ever get caught in the door. Whenever I put my windows down, I can hear it screatch meaning there's hardly any room in there and that the glass is actually rubbing against the walls or something. I can even see streak marks when I put them back up.

I heard this happens to many BMW owners, but would it affect the tint at all like scratch it up or who knows, rip it [eek] ??? I am getting it done at noon Eastern time and she said they should have it done by the time out get off work. I just hope that I don't get pulled over for the two days I have to have it up so that it allows the tint to adhere to the glass properly. Thanks on any input you guys might have.

If its illegal in PA to get your front windows tinted then the chances of you getting pulled over will most likely happened.

Here in CA its also illegal and I have been pulled over before for this. They cite you with a Fix-it ticket and require that you take off the tint and have a sworn officer check your vehicle before its signed off.

If the Tint business has been around for 15 years most likely they will fix any peeling for you.

Well...

What I meant by all around is everything except the front windshield. I should've been more clear, but I know I'll get pulled over just pulling out of their parking lot if I did that. I was talking about the rest of them, but even still I heard they are d*cks about it [hatchet] Anyways, my ideal case is that I don't get caught for a very long time so that it plays out its value...[hihi]

I'll post how my luck goes after tomorrow.....wish me luck in this brutal world.

Like Tom said, it is also illegal here in CA. I had my last car tinted all around, including about 8" of the front window, and drove it for about 4 years before a cop gave me a fix-it ticket. I did the same thing to my 325Ci a few days after I got it, including the 8" on the windshield. And there was a cop that I passsed just as I pulled out from the tint shop. The cop must have thought it looked good as all he did as I passed him was look and smile.

I love it...

I got my car and I love how stealthy it looks by just adding tint. It really looks slick with the Silver. I will post pics as soon as I get my brother's digital camera. Can't wait to show you [thumb]
