2002 330ci sports package...
I have the Dunlop SP 9000 tires...it says max ia 54psi.....what do you guys usually pump into your summer permofrance low profile tires?
currently i have it set @ 34psi, but thinking about increasing it, to get max performance out of it and better gas milage.

Winter question:
Can these tires be damaged during the winter season(assuming no snow, just cold weather)? I don't plan to dive the car in snow conditions, but if it's clear outside during the winter time will it be OK to go out with these summer perf tires?

thanks in advance guys!

I run 33 in the fronts and 35 in the rears. Max is not 54 psi for your car. Check the driver's side door frame label for the lowdown......

Yeah 54 PSI and you'll be picking your vertabrae off the floor when you get home. Mine run at about 30-35PSI also and that seems the best compromise between pliancy and performance.

hey Vlad, welcome!

you can drive with the summers in the winter, but you have to be really really careful. the high perf summers harden up like a puck once the mercury starts to go south, thus killing trackion and overall performance, esp braking in the cold, even with out snow. and with snow? fuhgedabout it. (horrible inet booklyn accent eh?) ^^;;

i know its an investiment, but it's much better to get same size snows with its own rims. (altho rotation is a bit tricky, since you'll likely get perf snows, which are directional) you coudl prolly get it for around $1500 give to take and it should last ya 3 or so seasons..

oh and blowing up your tires to higher psi may see a small gain in the mpg, in turn for uneven tread wear, premature balding, which will more than offset few bucks saved in the process imo.
