Hey gang, i have a 1992 325i with my right passenger side Tire Rod End starting to go bad, it's starting to wabble and the inside of the tire is starting to wear, the Play is on the end that's connected to the Power Assist Steering inside the Boot, i'm wondering if i can do this work myself, is everything just bolted up or is that end pressed on somehow, thanks so much in advance for any help, JR

You should be able to do it yourself. Here is a photo of the setup. Remember the car is going to need an alignment when you are done, however when I replaced a steering rack in my E30, I measured the tie rods, etc and adjusted the news ones to the same measurements and no alignment was needed! Are you sure your ball joints are OK?

Dan, hi, it's the ball joint attached to the steering side that's loose, which is a strange looking nut or nut cover, looking like it's takes a slim wrench, does it just unbolt from the rack, i don't damage anything and make it worst, thanks bud, JR
