I picked up a 85 325 thats a manny but it grinds really bad. When I shift it goes BBBBBRBRBRBRBRBRBBRBABRSK:F:sdlHK:JKJHGITA&#*^#@*&!^*@&%&! CRACK
anyways it does this every time I shift, and I have to push REALLY hard to shift. So thats messed up, now it makes a clunking noise when I idle. Ok so theres that and I cant figure out the left handed gas pedal. I push it in and nothing happens. So then I thought oh maybe its another brake, well it won't sop me either. But when I was doing that when i let the pedal pop out the engine chunked. If I push the right handed gas pedal and the left one at the same time though the engine gets REALLY loud but wont go anywhere. So I held the right handed one down then left the left one go and i was going like 10mph then it started to slide and make squeeling noises and then i was going like 45 in 1 second. SHould I just dump this heap or what

well ok I have 3 pedals, on the right is the long gas one, then middle is brake, and the left one is one that looks like the brake pedal but I thought it was left handed gas. So that does nothing, so ill be going along in like 1st and ill get to about 5k rpm, so i pull it out of 1st and then i have to push REALLY hard to get it in 2nd and it grainds tons but it finally will go. I just gave up on the left handed gas pedal

ok buddy, we have to change your driving habits.

the peddal on your left is the clutch, im sure youve heard about it.
When you press it in, it disingages the engine from the transmission, so you can shift gears. So, you use the clutch and stick together!

as you hold the clutch in, you can rev the engine - give a little gas and release the clutch slowly! The clutch, when released, locks the engine and tranny together, moving the car. Then repeat as your spead increases through each gear. But use the clutch when ever shifting!

step by step:
-lift off gas
-clutch in
-shift gear
-give gas (as you are doing the next step)
-clutch out
-repeat

tell me you knew this.... or that you didnt
