I just purchased an '03 325i, it only has 279 miles and it's doing the same thing. When the car is cold it will go in reverse gear right away but will take a few seconds to go into drive. I called Steve the guy you spoke with he seem to think BMW will have a fix soon. Do you have any new updates on this.
