I am not sure if this annoyance happens to you all.

Many times my trunk accidentally got popped open when I put my key in my pocket, and many times I don't realize it until I start the car and the dash light shows me.

I guess the button acciently got pressed in my pocket. It is not because my pocket full of stuff. It is beause the button got pressed accidently. [bigcry]

Do you have any suggestion on how to prevent this? [idea]

Stop wearing painted on pants!! A little looser clothing should solve your problem. Or don't jam your keys into your pocket until you are safely out of range of the car. Also, listen for it - the truck release is noisey, and when combined with the short range of the keyfob you should be able to hear it everytime.

I have had this happen too. Also have accidentally popped the doors putting the keys in the pocket. I think this is the cause: Sometimes I was putting the keys into my pocket with my whole hand as well, pushing down as I put them away. This was causing the buttons to get pushed with my palm or fingers. I now just drop the keys in there with loose fitting pants, or just place them at the top of the pocket and let them fall with tighter pants.

Every so often. I get into the car and the trunk is already release. Seem to happen too often to be accidental. anyone have this issue ?

This only happens to the trunk, why not the doors ? I'm thinking there's a software bug.

This happens to me at least three times per week! I've figured out the cause: When I turn the key in the ignition, my thumb extends over to the trunk release and activates the button. I find it really annoying, and it's obvious that the buttons on the key weren't that well thought out, i.e. never happened with my Lexus or any other remote key for that matter.

My solution has been to insert the key back-forward, thereby hiding the trunk release button from my "gargantuan" thumb!
