trunk release

Regarding new 2004 3 series cars, does anyone know more information about having to "hold" the trunk release button down on the remote key for two seconds instead of one quick click?

The two second feature sounds kinda cool. Do you know many times I've 'popped' the trunk by mistake?!?

Probably not a good idea. accidently release the trunk. You might be able to have the dealer reprogram it. You might want to ask them.

this actually leads me to a question of accidently releasing the trunk. every so often. I get into the car and the trunk is already release. Seem to happen too often to be accidental. anyone have this issue ?
