Hi i'm new to the forum and was hoping you guys could help me out with something..

I've got a 330Ci sport with std 18 inch wheels and pirelli p-zero rosso tyres (manufacturer recomend size). the thing is i'm using BMWs recomended tyre pressures 2.5 bar (front) and 2.9 (rear) and reckon that this is too high as whenever i change my tyres they tend to have worn more in the centre which is a sign of overinflation.

I've discussed it with the dealer and they say its the correct pressure but agree that given the wear on the tread they look to be overinflated.

I think the problem stems from the fact that BMW recomended tyre pressure is for up to 4 adults in the car, whereas when i drive the car, it's usually just me in it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for tyre pressures? I think they need to be lower, but don't want to take the risk of guessing and finding that they're dangerously low!

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance..

[thumb] Hey what's up from the colonies across the Big Pond... You blokes have a funny way of spelling tires... I drive an older bimmer with 18" wheels and tires and I run 29 PSI up front and 35 PSI out back. The attached website is purely informational however it provides excellent guidance concerning tyre pressure for all makes and models of automobiles. Additionally, I would think that one could consult the driver side door jam to get at least a basic understanding of different air pressures as it pertains to various tire sizes and wheels. I hope this information proves to be of some value to you. Happy Motoring... http://www.drivegreen.com/PressureValue/BMW.shtml
