Upgrades !!!

I was thinking of putting an exhaust and intake. The basic bolt on's but my friends tell me that unless i chip it the bolt on wont work if anything it might throw out the check engine light. Is that true or are they wrong.

It wont throw the check engine light if installed properly........you WONT get a massive increase in HP by doing those two bolt-ons.......at most MAAAAYBE 5-10hp. What you will get is a deeper exhaust note, depending on which exhaust you buy and more "engine noise" or growl due to the intake not being "muffled" by an intake box......

When you say intake - do you mean Cold Air Intake or Intake manifold? A new Intake manifold will probably require new software.

No i was talking about CAS not the throttle body or manifold. And if so what do you all recommend i was looking at a K n N or AEM. Or should i be looking else where.
