No, they aren't. They are trying to make this third version as close to stock feel as possible, but it's hard to tell yet. The first two are really notchy and translate vibrations. So far the best one is ACS, but at $800+ it's just too much. RD Sport is coming out with a very similar one, but cheaper. These operate from a stock layout, so the shifts are silky smooth.
B&M is also an alternative, but has it's own share of bugs. The newest generation is about to be released.
