Hello folks, just wanted to let you know that after a few false starts, I managed to get the new Verizon Moto E815 (successor to the V710) working in my 05 325i with Premium Package/Assist (ZPP).
Spent about 3 hours googling "BMW Motorola Bluetooth" to find pairing instructions. I finally found out that 05's have auto-pair for two minutes after turning the key, and thus don't need a pairing button. After much trial and error, I finally got the phone to find the car and prompt me for the BMW's Bluetooth passkey. The phonebook loaded right in, and the "R/T" and "talking head" buttons work as promised. I can browse the phonebook using the up-down arrows on the steering wheel, and view them on the RDS display (I don't have Navi).
Seemed to be two quirks with the pairing process: I had to make sure the phone's BT signal was turned on before I turned the key, and the car had to be on accessory power mode, not actually running (which I had been doing the first time, because I wanted the air conditioning while I worked ) Once I did these two things I was fine.
Still two things left to figure out (and not sure if these are possible, given Verizon's BT "mods"). A.) Voice command of the phone B.) Transferring the call back to the handset once I've reached my destination.
Just wanted to share my experience--I'm sure a lot of people were as intrigued by this phone as I was.
