Yeah I hate those stupid warning signs on the visors. But...it seems like the ones on my 2004 are not stickers, but are painted on. I am afraid to try and remove them, and risk damaging the visor itself.

Anybody successfully remove the warning labels on the visors of 2004 models?? My salesman told me not to try it.

They came off nicely on my '04. Use Goof Off for the sticker and Acetone for the leftover glue. On mine, you can't even tell they were ever there. [clap]

If you have cloth visors, though, you probably shoudln't attempt to take them off.

When I first picked up my car two years ago, I bought a can of Goof-Off for this very purpose. But then it seemed like it almost always leaves a faint rectangle where the sticker used to be, and I'm a little hesitant to remove it. I'm not sure if it's better to have something unattractive that most people would never notice, or something that looks like there's something wrong or something missing. I guess I still haven't made up my mind on this...

Do it in direct sunlight. The vinyl on the visor will warp a bit from the Goof Off, but they will shrink back into a tight fit after 10 minutes or so. I actually took the visors off since only two screws hold each one on. I laid them on a towel in the driveway and went to town. Best $10 mod out there (price of goof off and acetone).

Edit: The acetone will completely remove that rectangle. My car is in for service today, but I'll try to remember to take a pic or two tomorrow. I can see absolutely no trace that anything was ever there after using the acetone. The results were immediate. Just make sure you clean it when you finish to remove any traces of the acetone.

I have the slightest faint edge where the sticker used to be. I only used the Goof Off seen in the pics. With the visors back in place and the shadows in the car, I can hardly make out any edge at all. But I suppose I could follow up with some Acetone. I've never bought that. Can you zap a pic of the bottle so I know what I'm looking for? I'll check it out.

Acetone?? That is what I have seen my mom use to remove her acrylic fingernails. I spilled that one time on a plastic telephone, and it ate thru the plastic, and made it all murky...horrible.

Won't the acetone discolour and ruin the visor?? I love Goo Off...but don't know about the acetone.

My car is still in for service today so no pics, but yes, it is the same stuff you can use to remove finger nail polish. I applied it to a rag and rubbed it across the glue. I then washed it off with some vinyl cleaner.

Make sure you use acetone and not synthetic finger nail polish remover. That's not the same stuff. You can get a can of acetone for about a buck at Wal-Mart in the paint department.

CaveDweller, yours came out perfect. Mine have the faint edge also like aNoodle. I will try the acetone altho that stuff scares me cause I have seen it discolor and melt plastic.
