Waiting for the tow truck after fireworks

So I get up today and try to start my car, WOW it was like fireworks. All my lights started flashing wildly and the thing was making noises I have never heard from a car before. I guess some type of electrical problem. Anyone ever experience this?

Damn... sounds like your electrical "box" went bazookas. I assume you heard a lot of load clicks as your lights started flikering.

And it shouldn't happen to a 03 car.

nope, usually they just die quietly....already called the dealer? is the car still under waranty?

The car was just picked up. It has almost 2,000 miles on it. There sure was nothing quiet about this experience, but the funny thing is, it was like the thing had "hyper power", like it was super charge-not like a battery issues for sure.

Another example of faulty electrical engineering. However, when you look at how many problems MB cars are having with their electric gadgets... it looks kinda good.

Actually, MB cars have very few electrical problems. If you browse the MBWorld forums, you never see electrical problems occuring.

I just read one article in a magazine that said that their problems set them to #15 in ?2003?(or 2002) from #5 (or 4) in 99. MB said that most of their problems are electrical due to the fact that they are "the leaders in mobile technology".. BS.

I was reading that the 330i was moved from the top 10 from a couple of ratings because of electrical problems. I hope this problem is not going to continue.

Bryan, I hope they will be able to fix your car ASAP. Just remember that once your car is back and running, it's way better than anything the Benz C-Class (C320) has to offer.

I agree, I would not trade it for the C-Class. I guess all cars can have some problems, I am sure that it is still a much better choice than many others out there.
