Hey, everyone.

I have an '03 330xi. I love it. Who wouldn't?

I drive a lot and am approaching the 50,000 mi warantee cut-off point. They are more than happy to sell me one or two of the two warantees that they offer up to 100,000 miles...

#1. Which one should I get? Both? What is the difference? (I tend to trust you guys more than them)

#2. Is it really worth it?

#3. Is my clutch covered by the 50,000 warantee? I know the brakes are. The dealer actually suggested riding around on the brakes really hard to wear them down before the 50,000 is up. Should I do that to the clutch, too, if they are going to replace it? It makes me sad to hurt my baby like that... but if it is going to save a few hundred bucks and the dealer actually SUGGESTED it... why not...

They tried to explain to me that to have xyz done it would cost me more than they are charging me for the warrantee. However, if I had the work done at a non-bmw-dealer I imagine I would save a considerable amount of money. Where is the tradeoff?

Anybody? [slap] [boxface] [driving]

You should obtain the warranty specifications before any purchasing so that you clearly understand what is covered. One is for warranty to 100,000 miles and the other is for scheduled maintenance to 100,000 miles..........visit BMW North America website and read about the issues. I have both and saved several hundred dollars by reading up before purchasing. The dealerships add monies to the maintenance policy when BMW states a clear price.
