Warranty?

How long does the warranty cover on a new BMW? I just purchased mine used (2000) and was wondering if the original warranty would still be on the car from when the original owner bought it. Anyone know?

If I bought the car from a dealer (non BMW), how would I find out if there is still a warranty on the car? Could I go by a BMW dealership or call and tell them the VIN and they can check in their system?

go to the dealership and ask, or you can prolly call the bmw usa and give them your vin. (sorry i don't have the number off the top of my head. you can all 800 555 1212 and ask tho..)

you may still be able to purchase additional warranty through bmw. (your customer rep will love you, i think they get pretty good kick backs iirc.)
