included with your car ? Mine is a 2004 330 CIC and did not have one, and the manual say's it should be under the passenger seat.

They are supposed to come with the car. I don't know how much this helps, but I know that the G35C is supposed to come with one (mine did), but we once had a discussion on G35Driver with some members stating that a first aid kit was never included with their car from day one. We concluded that it was the fault of the dealership...maybe this is the same issue for you. Have you tried calling up your local dealership regarding the first aid kit? Perhaps they placed it in a different hard-to-find location?

They do not show up in US cars (as I understand) because the kit contains stuff from outside the country (much like prescription medications). Canada probably has it. I got mine from some dude in Colorado that sells it through ebay and other e46 message boards. I think I paid $50 for the kit that included the brackets-installation hardware. Pretty easy to install. Fortunately, have not had occasion to use it. Getting an empty box for the driver's side as been an idea, just as another storage place (for things best left out of sight!). [hah]

if the reason for not including the kit in the bimmer is for restrictive import regulations, then i do not understand why the US market does not have a solution for it. why not making that a suitable kit for US regulations? i mean, the US is so keen on safety and health, but when it comes to first aid nothing is done?

Being an Emergency Doctor, I can tell you the first aid kit that comes with the car (I have seen it) is not worth the hassel of trying to obtain. Just have a cell phone or use your BMW assist (if you car has one). Hopefully you will never have the need for the first aid kit or the BMW assist.

The BMW First Aid kit is listed in the BMW Accessories catalog. I doubt if it is worth it tho. As for a windscreen for a convertible, you can try Bavarian AutoSport at www.bavauto.com. Pacific BMW, a dealer, usually has good prices and they advertise in the Roundel. I have purchased from them with good results.

well, if you talk about a splattered skull or ripped arms, well yes i agree the kit will not really make the cut. but for small stuff itis quite helpfull. little wounds, burns, stuff like that can be easily taken care of with its ingredients.
of course the cell is a definite must!!!

It's not like I plan on administering major medical care. I saw in my manual that it was to be included. My sales rep. said it was not, so I wanted to check with others. Just don't really trust the dealers.

You get it, but I think you have to take some of the non-US stuff (like the warning triangle) with you and bring it with your luggage. Because, if you leave it in the car, when your car arrives at customs and they make sure your car is up to US specs, they take some of that Euro stuff out.

Yes, you do get it, and the triangle, with Euro Delivery - they are REQUIRED by European law, according to the ED Center people. They also said that if you do not remove the kit from the case, they will remove it and the triangle upon export. The triangle does not meet US DOT specs.

My wife put the first aid kit in her carry on bag. When it got Xrayed at the Munich airport, they told her they had to confiscate her scissors. We had no clue what they were talking about, we are VERY concious about travel protocols, no way we were carrying scissors!! They opened up the sealed first aid kit, and inside were bandage scissors.....
