created to compete w/ the g35
Compete with it when it comes to sheer speed (for those who can't stand the fact that an Infiniti competition model is a second faster than their car) so the zhp does 0-60 5.9 seconds, the 325i and 330i are already up there if not better than the G35 in everything except straightline speed (and HP). This has turned into a bit of a 330/ZHP vs G35 sedan/coup thread - lol

As far as acceleration #s are concerned I wouldn't really be concened with a 1/10 of a sec here or there etc. To me there is a bit of difference between a manual and an automatic of each - but basically all of these vehicals are in the same ballpark - with perhaps the ZHP being slightly faster - followed by the G35 coup - but really if you look at the different test results from various mags there is quite a bit of variability and I've even seen one where the G35 sedan (M/t) was listed as faster then all of the above. So again - basically all about the same....any differences will likely be up to the driver...

I think the G35 is a great car BTW...and I might even perfer the coup to the 3 series cars (based on my limited exposure to each thus far) - I certainly like the looks of the car very much....and the growl of the exhaust is awesome! ...only problem for me...no trunk to speak of...(compared to a 3 series coup) and, with 2 kids, the sedan was really the most practical option - and here I felt the 3 series was clearly better - particulalry the ZHP...but Nissan really should be commended...

ZHP's are nice, I test drove a 330i ZHP a few months back, along with some regular 330's, including a cabrio. The ZHP was sportier, it had a SSK already which was great to shift with. I could tell a 'slight' difference in speed, it did have a bit bumpier ride, but it was much tighter cornering(a tradeoff).

If I could shop for a new 3 series (non //M) it'd be a ZHP, certainly.

really late in replying here, but simply zhp is the bmw order code for performance package. since pp is already the premium package, we use it here as zhp for short hand way of saying performance package, as to not get people confused.

btw, sorry to bring back this dead horse.. [:p]
