Water under my back seat

UGH... I had a new antenna wire put in my car yesterday. I have a 1996 318i conv. HE SAID THERE'S WATER UNDER THE BACKSEAT....Where the heck is that coming from?..HELP The top is pretty new too.

Other than the fabric top having a leak, two possiblities:

The top is not sealing on the deck lid. Clean the rubber gasket around the bottom of the convertible top, and the deck lid where the top meets it.

The gas tank is under the rear seat. There are some access holes that have gaskets. One of the gaskets may be leaking.

Check the drain holes in the compartment that houses the convertible top when down. I have found that the two drain hoses in the from of this comparment have a tendency to clog and the water has to go somewhere. It should drain out the underside of the car. Good Luck!
