What Diff?

Could somebody help me please I dont know what diff too put on my car, it is an E30 325i, but when I go on holiday im gonna put a 3,2lt M3 engine in it. The problem is that i dunno what diff to put in it, I want something that will help me with top end, but I dont want too much low end grunt??

Anybody got ideas

depends on the running rpm on that engine.

you should ask that question to the forum board which that engine came out of.
they would know. most of us that read this board know m20 engine specs.

I would guess you can find a stock 4.10:1 lsd out of an e30 m3 which might match those rpm.

With that engine anyway, i wouldnt worry about losing low end

a guy over here wedged one in his 325i. Found he was running 0-60 in 5secs with the standard diff. but hes still (only just) missing out on 60Mph in 2nd. and thinks a diff with taller gearing will be his answer.

depends on what transmission you're running... if you're goin w/ the stock trannie, just use a stock diff... just a hunch, but i dont think an s50/e30 needs much help from a diff

Well im not sure, Im thinkin ive got three options:
1. Keep standard gearbox, etc
2. E36 M3
3. M coupe
