Aloha guys , I've seen the word sharked on some members profiles and sigs and was curios what this is exactly. I just ordered a Dinan chip and an exhaust . When I put the chip in does that mean I'll be sharked?? [driving2] .

Of course they don't have it in stock and it'll take about a week. The Dinan chip was the same price as others at 249.99 so I went with Dinan and the exhaust is about 420 .
According to the sights dyno tests , a chip and exhaust should net 20 hp. [thumb] [thumb] . That should be noticeable since the M42 4 cyl. only has 134 .

The Chiltons manual ( a.k.a. crapola ) says my o2 sensor is pre-cat so I'll be investigating a straight pipe to get rid of the cat...

I'm very excited to say the least ... [headbang]

"Sharked" refers to installation of the Jim Conforti Chip and/or software. Awhile back when you purchased his "injector" you could get a "Sharker" sticker. I had one on the back of my 318is.

Thanks BD , I read that you sold your 318is huh? If you've read some of my posts , you know that I really love this car . It doesn't seem to have alot of performance mods out there but I'll be happy eith the chip and exhaust . Did you have anything that I should now about to put on mine?

Did you buy the 750 the same time as the 318 ?

I had purchased my e30 318is from my brother who bought it new in Germany. He tricked the car out having the dealer install Zender aerodynamics, then when he got it to the states he had the Dinan suspension installed. At some point he added a UUC short shifter, console gauge cluster, Conforti chip, Racing Dynamics front and rear stress bars and I had a performance exhaust, ATE gas slotted rototrs, and cold air intake installed.

While not a rocket ship, the car was tight and handled like she was on rails. That is the first thing the two interested parties said after test driving her when I sold her. I hated to see the car go, but did not need three BMW's.

I bought the 750iL just a year or two ago. I got her from California, low miles, and a great price. It is not the handler the 318 was, but at my old age she is a great road car, besides I still have the roadster for those days when I want to feel sproty!

Right on BD, sounds like she was a 'bute. I'm 35 so most of the time I'm cruising but there's the occasional onramp that I love to get on her. I am surprised at how peppy this little 4 banger is . I love the five speed !!! take care Big Daddy
