That deff says "is" on the trunk lid, but the exhaust and rest of the car looks like an "e". Doesn't look like it has the "es" front air dam. So I would suggest that the rear spoiler, sports steering wheel, (an possibly the entire trunk lid explaining the "is" badge), has been added or switched out. Either that or the front air dam was damaged and removed. Can't see if it has the upggraded stereo with the tweeters on the door and rear plate speakers.

It looks like an early 325is to me, I mean in the pic of the back it definatly says 'is'. I cannot be certain though.

It has the sport steering wheel, so my best guess is its a 325is, I mean did they import any other 'is' models here?

The wheels could have been replaced, I cannot tell you how many E30s in my area swap wheels.

Like i said before, its a 325e.

Its an Eta motor, on a 4x4 suspension, with some add ons. It doesnt have basketweaves.
Its a 2 door so its either an 84-85 325e or an 86-87 325. Since it has a multifunction OBC and the innner line of chrome on the windows I would say an early 325e.

wheni lookup the VIN on a bmw VIN decoder it says 86 325e, but the guy selling it is advertising it as a 1987 325is. i was trying to find a picture of an is motor to compare it to but i cannot find it. but yes i too agree thatit most definatly is not an is esp b/c of the suspension (the back being so high.) also, i thought ALL 325''s had a power sunroof. and to me it has the 9 buttons ad the 4 codes buttons. they have 3 diff types of computers for these cars? becuase in my 85 my computer has the 9+4 buttons.

It looks like an "e" but did you check the driver side door jam labels. Both labels carry the model designation. Stock exhaust systems on an "e" has an oval muffler with a single tip, an "i" has dual tips. The driver side strut tower has a vacuum hose routing diagram that also states the model designation.
