what size are stock rims?

Stock rims/wheels on what model bimmer, every vehicle has a different size stock wheel based upon packages. A 00 BMW 323i with Sports Package comes with stock 16" wheels. M3's come with 18" stock. Every car has a different stock wheel based upon it's package. Premium Package or Sports Package or Cold Weather Package... Need more information in order to answer your query. Happy Motoring...

If it's 2003 it would probably have either 16 or 17 inch wheels.

Look on the tires, It will say for example 225/55/17. The 17 designates wheel diameter.

^^^ Ding ding ding, we have a winner. Just look on the tires and see if they have a 16, 17, or 18 number on them. A stock 2003 will have either a 16 or 17.

I very seriously doubt a stock "03" (if this is the year in question) 3-series would have 16" wheels, then again I could be wrong, but I doubt it....

Have you checked your tires?? Because you would then know without a doubt. Came with 17s as stock in Aus, don't know why US should be different.
