I have a 325 iC. The from a visual stance - aside from the plastic window - is in pretty good condition. However, when I drive, at neighborhood speed, it's like a symphony of creaks and squeaks from the top. It doesn't buy me much, cos I assume it's due to the age of the car, but I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do to minimize the noise. Something in the roof mechanism needs WD-40 or what not... uh.. help?

According to the Bentley manual there are some adjustments that can be made to the top. The frame can be adjusted fore and aft and side to side. To adjust verticle fit of the top againstbody requires the removal of the entire top assemby from the car by lowering the top and removing the mounting bolts and nuts. It does not appear to be difficult. From the diagram there appears to be only 4 nuts/bolts on each side. If there are rattles or air leaks around the windows then either the frame or the windows must be adjusted with the car on level ground. Bentley's chapter 14, pp 39-41 covers this. I do not know if the rattles and squeaks are bad enough to be worth the work involved. It is up to you.
