I had my car parked in a garage for the last 3 weeks while away and just got it back yesterday. I noticed noise i never heard before that seemed to be coming from the right rear side of the car. you can only really hear it while the windows are down and passing by parked cars or buildings. It almost sounds like a stone stuck inside the grooves of a tire, but instead of a thud on the rotation there is a sharp like noise. My idle does not seem quite steady either - i can hear the fuel pump?? kicking out/in. Can this all be fuel pump related?

take a closer, thorough look at the tyres first the right sided and then the left (just in case), making the wheels turn to look at all of the tread. it's happened to me a couple of times before, twice stones and another time it was a screw that had punctured the wheel, but was acting as a plug for the hole.
