Wheel/tire combos

Any suggestions on upgrading 16in wheels and tires on 03 325i sedan? Is it better to stay with BMW wheels? I'm considering going to 17in. What do I need to keep in mind regarding speedometer changes with wheel size changes? Any web sites with this kind of info?

Try www.tirerack.com they'll lead you to some workable sizes. Many hours can be wasted or is it well spent? reading tire reviews and comparisons.
They also have a large selection of aftermarket wheels should you go that route. I'd get bmw wheels like something from a M3 if making a choice.
