Alright, I know this has probably been answered many times, but a search did not come up with a suitable answer. I come across some wheels (replica, I think) on Ebay of '03-'04 M3 wheels. They are advertised as fitting all E46s. I think I read on a forum somewhere that M3 wheels would not fit the plain jane sport E46.

Anyone?

The wheels are here....and I love the look.

Thanks,

Borrowed from another forum where this has come up, a few times.

In essence: Front OEM wheels will fit all around no problem (18x8). The replica wheels are replicas of the fronts, so they work fine.

Rear OEM M3 wheels do not fit due to the offset - you can get them to work with a widebody, or serious fender roll but that's about it.

[thumb] Section 8 is correct, you can put M3 front wheels will fit all the way around because of there off-set. The M3 rears will not fit the plain jane E46. The original M3 wheels are staggered therefore are wider in the rear and will only fit with a fender roll on the plain jane E46. The wheels you have linked are all the same size 18X8 and will fit. This forum is user friendly, we answer questions from anyone no matter how mundane or seemingly un-important. Please continue to ask, even if it's been asked and answered before, my moto or creedo is the only stupid question is the one unasked. I know all who venture here don't subscribe to that line of thought and would rather berate or torture unfortunate souls who are just trying to get help. Just my two and a half cents, and you know who you are... Happy Motoring.

Thanks guys.

I appreciate the help.

No problem, hope that helps w/ the wheel decision.

Good thing about the ones you linked - they are also hub-centric, I would not buy wheels for a BMW that were not hub-centric. This will cause all sorts of vibrations at higher speeds.

Those wheels you linked actually look more like replica's of the ZHP 18" wheels than the 18" M3 wheels. Either way they look good, and you'd have no problem with them.
