When changing over from summer tires to winter wheels and rims, where exactly do you place the floor jack? My wife has a new 2004 325ci coupe. I don't want to scratch the paint or place the jack in the wrong spot. The car sits pretty low so it's pretty hard to see where the jack should be placed. Is it right behind the front tires....and right in front of the rears?

thanks!

Ken check your Owners Manual, it shows you the proper location to jack up your car. You have to slide the jack a little further underneath the car to prevent body damage.

i didn't check out the site Tom posted, but if you look under your car it should be easy to find the spot. also if you have jackstands use them, it makes life so much easier to put an entire end up at a time (front or rear) use your jack to get the car off the ground, then place the jack stands under the control arms (thats what i do anyways)

Thanks for the info guys!
I called the BMW dealer today and spoke to the service dept. They told me to place the floor jack at the 4 spots where the trunk jack would normally be used. Said to do "one" wheel at a time. It's the same support spots where they place the lift at in the garage.
