where do you put your phone?

One of the common complaints about the E46 cockpit I heard when researching for a car was the lack of storage space. That's definitely true. It doesn't bother me except that I can't find any good way to anchor my phone. Right now it just sits in the cup holder with a cord to my hands-free which isn't very elegant. I don't intend to get the BMW phone (although it would be nice to use the steering wheel controls for the phone). What have you all done do rig up communications from your cars? I don't want to do anything that will a) void the warranty. b) alter the dash. c) be permanent and specific for my current phone.

me, too. you can always go for the bluetooth kit that's supposed to be out already. what do other people (other cars) do?

Go with the bluetooth if your phone is bluetooth enabled. Here is a good thread with an awesome DIY w/ pictures and movies.

I put it in the cupholder too. I'm pissed the map pocket doesn't have enough room for a Thomas Guide.
