Hey guys, I am considering a new car to replace my 2001 330ci. I am looking at 2 options:

1. 2003 certified pre-owned M3. I found the perfect car with every option I want for a reasonable price.

2. e90 330ci

Will the e46 M3 decrease in value with the e90 3-Series comes out next year?

Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks!

Well, you will have to wait for the 2007 model for the coupes. '06 will just bring in the sedans.

A 330ci is not an M3 and never will be. If there was an e90 M3 in the offering then that would theoretically decrease the value of an e46 M3. Even that is a stretch as the M3 holds its value no matter what from what I have seen and read.

You are in a quandry though as both cars are extremely nice and have their own advantages.

You stating you "have found the perfect car" answers your own question IMO. Good luck with your new M3, you will love it.

Used M3 - you'll be waiting until '06 for the coupe ('05 sedans are hitting the US in early spring). A few months ahead of schedule, we were thinking we wouldn't see the sedans until late 05/early 06..

No question at all in my mind, unless 2/4 doors is a BIG concern. Get in that M3 and enjoy the heck outta it!

late to the party but..
dood, if you have a chance to jump on the m3, i would! the new e90 will be a slight upgrade to your 2k1 330i, where as the m3 is in a whole new level.
esp since you'll be getting the extended warranty w/ the cpo, i would take that car anyday of the week.

enjoy~
