Alright im hoping some one can set this straight. Im a long time BMW fan and know that they only made a few models that had forced induction, i.e. 2002 turbo i think maybe a 3.0 csl. But were E30 M3's ever supercharged, on everything ive ever read nothing is said so i have no reason to suspect this, however, on MSN's car point it states that the engine is supercharged which makes sense to me considering it makes more power than the M50 DOHC straight six engines found in E36 cars. OK thanx for reading this jibba jabba but i just wanted to find out the truth.

besides mi and as you said, 2002, there was a 745 turbo from the eighties, but no e30 ever came out of the factory either with a turbo or supercharger.... unless you're talking about DTM cars, and neither those had turbos or sc's.....

BMW made the best 4 cylinder engines ever... and proof would be the 1,200+ hp turbo 4 they built for a race car back in the 80's.

The mini cooper's engine is actually built by diamler chrysler (yes, owned by mercedes), not BMW.

That F1 engine was turbocharged. (1200hp one)

524td was turbocharged

Suzuki also made a 1000+ hp 4 cylinder car

Saab approached that figure with Per Ecklund's Pike's peak 4 cylinder

Shepard has a 2.0 mitsubishi that has dynoed at 724 at the wheels.
