Ive been thinking of buying a bodykit/gruond effects kit for my '84 318i, but its a big investment for me and im really not even positive if one would work on my car. A couple examples Ive been looking at:

Or Here

The auctions say that these kits would work for me, but they also state "No returns." Whats your thoughts? thanks

The place to ask that question is with the seller, if he says it will fit an 84 e30 than it should I would assume. I would steer away from fiberglass, it has no give and therefore cracks when you strike a curb, etc. Plastic flexes and Zender, AC, etc are plastics.

any idea where i may be able to find some plastic ones?
Find someone parting out an E30, you'll usually have to buy them separate, since most people who part out cars either had a front end colission, or rear. Check e30tech.net and search google for E30 classifides, and definitely check ebay.

Actually, i have been looking for a banged-up E30 parts car for awhile. I race a Ford Escort at my local track in the "UCAR" class, and notice some extreme handling differences between that and my 318i...which would be perfectly legal to race there, but I have no plans of stripping out my daily driver. So I thought maybe if I could find a newer E30 325i that has some body damage, but working mechanicals, I could use its remaining good parts on the 318, and swap out engines for that 6-cylinder power in my road car. I have no doubt that an E30 would show up all the late 80s-early 90s Escorts, and I could get almost any part I need for my other car, so it seems to be a good idea. This is all a bit off-topic....but just thought I'd throw it out there...back on topic I will check around for some plastic bumpers before making any decisions.
